この度POSTでは、フランスの写真雑誌『Revue Diapo』の最新号、N°003 濵本奏、N°004 山谷佑介特集の出版を記念し、両者による展覧会を開催いたします。本誌を主宰するMaxime Matias（マクシーム・マティアス）も展示に合わせて来日いたします。

『Revue Diapo』（ルヴュ・ディアポ）は「アナクロニズム」（=時代錯誤的であること）をコンセプトに掲げたフランス・パリ発のインディペンデントフォトマガジンです。2024年にパリを拠点とするクリエイティブスタジオ「RIMASÙU」によって創刊されました。
デジタル全盛期である今LPやカセットが再評価されているように、あえて「ポジフィルム」というアナクロメディアを採用し、現代写真家たちの目を通して写真の時間性や記憶の再構築を探求することを試みています。

毎号1人の写真家に焦点を当て、そのアーカイブ、個人的なリサーチ、未発表あるいは再発表されたイメージを収録。呼応するように組み合わされたテキストは写真の解釈を一方的に定めるものではなく、多様な解釈を促すように構成されています。
また、各号の表紙には実際のポジフィルムが9枚収められています。現代的な解釈とデザインによってまとめられたことで、どの世代にも新しい見え方を提供し注目を集めているフォトマガジンです。

この度、N°003では濵本奏の『midday ghost』シリーズが、N°004では山谷佑介の『ONSEN』シリーズが特集され、日本人作家2名が続けて出版される運びとなりました。これまでのフランス語と英語仕様に加え、日本語の3ヶ国語で構成された号となっています。
雑誌でありながらも、1冊1冊が小さな展示空間であるような『Revue Diapo』。日々SNSでイメージが消費されがちな現代に、写真に触れ所有するという豊かな体験と6日間限定の展示を是非ご覧ください。

プロフィール：

山谷佑介（やまたに・ゆうすけ）

1985 年新潟県生まれ、立正大学文学部哲学科卒業後、外苑スタジオに勤務し、その後移住した⻑崎で出会った東松照明や無名の写真家たちとの交流を通して写真を学び、作家としての活動を開始。現在は東京を拠点に活動。
主な展示には「KYOTOGRAPHIE」(2015 年)、「東京国際写真祭」(2015 年)、個展「KAIKOO」 (Yuka Tsuruno Gallery、2021 年)、「VOCA 展 2021」(上野の森美術館、2021 年)、「第 14 回恵比寿映像祭」(東京都写真美術館、2022 年)、個展「ONSEN」(Taka Ishii Gallery Photography / Film、2024 年)を初め、ニューヨークのコンデナスト本社ビルでの展示など、国内外で作品を発表。
主な作品集に『Tsugi no yoru e』(私家版、2013 年)、『ground』(lemon books、2014 年)、『RAMA LAMA DING DONG』(私家版、2015 年)、『Into the Light』(T&M Projects、 2017 年)、『Doors』(ギャラリー山谷、2020 年)、『ONSEN MMXXIV』(flotsam books、2024 年)がある。

濵本奏（はまもと・かなで）

2000年、神奈川県生まれ。人やものや土地が持つ「記憶」を主なテーマに、壊れたカメラを用いた撮影方法や、ミクストメディア的な手法を導入して制作をおこなう。
主な展覧会に「midday ghost」 OMOTESANDO ROCKET、STUDIOSTAFF ONLY、2020年）、「VANISHING POINT」（渋谷ヒカリエ8/、2020年）、「autonoetic」（神保町テラススクエア、2020年）、「Heimat loss」（福島県南相馬市教育委員会主催アーティストインレジデンス「群青小高」2021年）などがある。
主な出版物に『midday ghost』（2020年）、『VANISHING POINT exhibition in liminal zone』 (2022年) がある。

“Revue Diapo” is an independent photo magazine from Paris, France, centered on the concept of “anachronism”—a deliberate embrace of outdated media and methods. Founded in 2024 by the Paris-based creative studio RIMASÙU, the magazine explores the temporality of photography and the reconstruction of memory through the eyes of contemporary photographers, much like the revival of LPs and cassette tapes in today’s digital era.

Each issue focuses on a single photographer, compiling their archives, personal research, and both unpublished and reissued images. The accompanying texts are curated in a way that encourages diverse interpretations rather than dictating a singular understanding.

One distinctive feature of each issue is the inclusion of 9 actual positive film slides embedded in the cover. This unique presentation, paired with modern interpretation and design, offers a fresh perspective that resonates across generations and has garnered significant attention.

This time, Issue N°003 features Kanade Hamamoto’s “midday ghost” series, while Issue N°004 highlights Yusuke Yamatani’s “ONSEN” series. The back-to-back publication of two Japanese photographers marks a special occasion. In addition to French and English, these editions also include Japanese, making them trilingual.

Though it is a magazine, each issue of Revue Diapo feels like a small exhibition space in itself. In today’s world, where images are often fleetingly consumed on social media, this limited six-day exhibition offers a rich opportunity to encounter and possess photography in a tangible way.

Artists:
Kanade Hamamoto
Born in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan in 2000.
With memories of people, things, and land as her main theme, she shoots with a broken camera and uses mixed-media techniques in her work.
Her major exhibitions include midday ghost (OMOTESANDO ROCKET, STUDIO STAFF ONLY, 2020), VANISHING POINT (Shibuya Hikarie 8, 2020), autonoetic (Jimbo-cho Terrace Square, 2020), and Heimat loss (Artist in Residence in Minamisoma "Gunjo ODAKA," organized by the Board of Education of Minamisoma City, Fukushima Prefecture, 2021). Her major publications include midday ghost (2020) and VAN/SHING POINT exhibition in liminal zone (2022).

Yusuke Yamatani
Yusuke Yamatani was born in 1985 in Niigata, Japan. After graduating from Rissho University’s Faculty of Letters, Department of Philosophy, he worked at Gaien Studio. Later, he moved to Nagasaki, where he learned photography through interactions with both Shomei Tomatsu and various unknown photographers, eventually beginning his career as an artist. Yamatani is currently based in Tokyo.
His major exhibitions include "KYOTOGRAPHIE" (2015), "Tokyo International Photography Festival" (2015), solo exhibition "KAIKOO" (Yuka Tsuruno Gallery, 2021), "VOCA Exhibition 2021" (Ueno Royal Museum, 2021), the "14th Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions" (Tokyo Photographic Art Museum, 2022), solo exhibition "ONSEN" (Taka Ishii Gallery Photography / Film, 2024), as well as a show at the Condé Nast building in New York, among others in Japan and abroad.
